Under the first section, “Researching Your Options”, click on “Begin Your Search”. On the next page, you will find “College Application Deadlines”; after clicking on this you will have access to materials for parents and students.
From the first item in this section, you can find admissions, financial aid and scholarship deadlines.
From the second item in this section, you can find information from individual colleges such as telephone numbers, web site addresses, which parts of the application must be completed, and application fees.

Seniors who are interested in applying for these and other scholarships should take the ACT or SAT this fall if they have not already done so. Online registration can be done atwww.act.org (ACT) or www.collegeboard.com (SAT).

2017-2018 Scholarship Listing – This is a listing of scholarships available. You will click on the links on the page for more information. Check the links for scholarship deadlines as this is only a listing of available scholarships and deadline dates may be listed for year before.
TREA will award 25 scholarships at our Summer Conference in June to students graduating from a TREA member school district. For more information please go to our web site www.txrea.com. Don’t forget to read the Q &A as it should answer all of your questions about the application process. Scholarships this year will be $1500.We will pay for the student’s hotel room at the DFW Marriott in Fort Worth since you must be present to be awarded the scholarship. There are two scholarship reserved for students who are pursuing a career in education and one scholarship presented by the Texas Farm Bureau for a student who will pursue an agriculture related field.
The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce is offering a scholarship for the Annual Red River Valley All Breed Bull Sale sponsored by the Agriculture Committee of the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce.
Students participating in FFA or 4H programs with appropriate qualifications will be considered; however, those students pursuing a career in agriculture will have preference.
Applications will be judged by the following:
Scholarship/Grades - 50%
Financial Need - 25%
Community Service - 25%

Apply for scholarships!! Scholarship recipients are not just selected randomly from across the state. In order for students to receive a scholarship, they must apply. The application process can be time consuming and tedious but must be done if students want to even be considered for scholarships.
Students/Parents are encouraged to communicate with RISD to ensure that all necessary steps are completed in regards to the application process for scholarships
